It is not a news that most schools are currently on break, be
it holiday or closure, and students are saddled with the task of coping with
the seemingly never ending holidays. Going through the same boring routine
everyday can be quite annoying. To spice up our holiday, we can do the
following and bam! Before we know it, we
are back to our different ivory towers.

ACQUIRE NEW SKILLS: Time away from academic activities should be spent for self-improvement. Acquiring new skills during the holiday is something you thank yourself for in the nearest future. What are those skills you have not had time to practice? It could be swimming, playing musical instruments, driving, culinary skills, installation of electrical gadgets, DSTV in particular. It also could be make-up applications, hair making or fashion designing, or even knotting a tie. I have a male friend who is quite skilled in almost all activities, but does not know how to knot a tie even when his profession entails wearing one. In a nutshell, widen your horizons.
3.
SPEND
TIME WITH LOVED ONES: holidays are opportunities to have loving and sincere
conversations with family members and friends you have not seen in a while. Let
them feel your presence, make them look forward to having you around next time.
You should not spend all your time with the television set or your smartphones.
In addition to spending time with loved ones, make new and positive friends,
this makes your holiday fun and productive.
